Clothing drive information

A young bride just weeks before her wedding…
Dreaming of setting up a home with linens towels and blankets

A new mother with baby in arms…
            Seeking the bare necessities,

Parents of 5 young children desperately struggling to make ends meet…
Searching for warm clothing for the winter months

Enter Yad Leah, a miracle masquerading as a local community thrift shop.

Each article of clothing begins its journey at community drop off sites in the United States, travels 6000 miles across the ocean and finally reaches its destination in the home of a needy Jewish family.

Along the way, every article is evaluated for quality and style and then sorted and packed neatly in a box earmarked for a specific community in Israel. Once unpacked and displayed in the store, the clothing brings unimaginable joy to the recipients.  Mothers of newborns breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they now have clothes for their newest addition.  Brides faced with the daunting task of setting up a home leave with linens, towels, and dreams fulfilled. Mothers burdened with the knowledge that their children are wearing clothing two sizes too small find appropriately sized outfits for the entire family.  Their dignity that has been restored is truly transfomative, allowing parents and children once again to smile laugh and enjoy life.
